In our excellent 80-cover restaurant we offer freshly cooked traditional lunchtime and evening meals, including seasonal specialities from the varied cuisine of Baden and Alsace as well as selected wines particularly those from the local area.
We are of course very happy to cater for celebrations of every kind - birthdays, anniversaries or any other occasion, speak to us about it - we are very pleased to help you with planning and organising your event.
From spring until late summer enjoy your meal in the open air on our wonderfully inviting, flower-filled terrace..
Restaurant opening times:
lunchtimes Monday - Saturday
evenings Monday - Friday (closed on wednesday evening)
We are closed on Saturday evenings and all day on Sundays and public holidays.
Our 21- bed hotel is open all year as follows:
- Double rooms 102,00€ as Single room 82,00€
- Twin rooms 92,00€ as Single room 72,00€
- Single rooms 62,00€
all with en-suite shower/ WC and television.
Prices w/o breakfast- including breakfast at a cost of 10€ per night/person (if offered)
The comfortable, well- appointed rooms invite you to relax and in the morning a delicious breakfast buffet awaits you. We have a private car park right beside the hotel.

Today's Schwanen guesthouse/restaurant is run by the 5th generation of our family. Our great- great grandparents, Friedrich and Magdalena Baldner, bought the guesthouse in the Hauptstrasse in 1880. The present hotel was built on the same spot after the original was destroyed in the second World war, and we have tried to restore its original charm and character through extensive rebuilding and renovation. We think we have succeeded. In addition, our ancestor, Daniel Baldner is documented in the oldest church records in Kehl-Bodersweier as an innkeeper as far back as 1690....

Kehl am Rhein is an ideal base for glorious day trips to many popular places in the Black Forest and the Vosges mountains. The excellent bus services into the charming old town of Strasbourg only take about 10 minutes.
